31st GFA Congress: Record Support for Premier League Clubs Ahead of 2025/26 Season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a record financial and logistical support package for all 18 Ghana Premier League (GPL) clubs, including FC Samartex 1996, as preparations intensify for the 2025/26 season.

Each GPL club will receive a minimum of GHS 1,000,000 before the season begins, marking an unprecedented level of financial support aimed at strengthening club operations, improving player welfare, and boosting overall competitiveness.

As part of the package, every club has also been supplied with:

30 footballs (worth GHS 310,500 in total),

30 pairs of boots (valued at GHS 1,890 per club),
ensuring players are fully equipped for training and matchdays.

In total, the GFA has distributed 540 footballs and 540 pairs of boots across the league.

This initiative is backed by a new commercialisation strategy in partnership with Adesa Productions Limited, designed to grow sponsorship, marketing, broadcast, and matchday revenue streams.

The GFA says this multi-faceted support forms part of its long-term vision to build a competitive, sustainable, and globally marketable league.

For FC Samartex 1996, this support represents a major boost as the club continues to strengthen both on and off the pitch ahead of the upcoming season.
